Preamble

My name is Mark and I'm 26 years old.  I quit my job back in August and decided to do some international volunteering while I wait for my business school application responses.  I've never written a diary/story/note/journal entry or anything even remotely similar to a blog.  When thinking about what to write, I discovered that the most interesting observations I make are about the people I meet.  I enjoy talking about people.  As my friends well know, I love chick flicks; I like to analyze relationships and think about the characters' choices.  So while I attempt to write a traditional blog about my journey and my experiences, I may end up rambling about people.
